Two Girls (After Vuillard)
This subject reminds me of Eduard Vuillard’s painting, ‘Two Girls’. I enjoy paintings which urge viewers to think and explore and this painting reminds me of my childhood friend and sister. We used to share everything, sometimes compete and really adored our companionship. Memories and relationships play a really big role in my paintings.
Especially, the current pandemic has taught the World to respect and preserve relationships.
For me accidental effects of Ink are very surprising in this painting. Transparent washes allow layers to merge and shapes to still be distinguished.
This Painting is now selected for Royal Institute of Water colour Artist and will be on show from 19th to 29th May 2021 at The Mall Galleries, London.
